I began taking classes in Kung-Fu Shaolin in 1985 in the city of Saltillo, Mexico. At the same time I practiced Tae Kwon Do and Karate. After 1 1/2 years I elected to continue with the Kung-Fu Shaolin on a dedicated basis. In 1988 I moved to Monterrey, Mexico and began studying the martial arts of Long Fist, Praying Mantis, Lohan Chuan, White Lotus, as well as Hung-Gar and Choy-Li-Fut under Chi Yen Ramon Suzuki. At the same time I also took seminars and studied the martial arts of Hung, Tai-Chi Yang Style, Ba-Gua, and Chi-Kung under Si Fu Francisco Gonzalez in Mexico City.In 1998 while in Utah I had the honor of meeting Si Gung Bill Smith and the opportunity to study under him the martial arts of Hsing I Chuan and Hung Gar. I also participated in the Lion Dance team of the Sil Lum Kung-Fu Kwoon. In the Kung-Fu tradition, Si Gung Bill Smith continues to be one of the most important influences and mentors in my life. I continue to study and learn under his guidance. I also have practiced under the Grand Master James P. Lacy the martial arts of Daoist Meditation, the 18 Daoist Palms system, White Tiger, Chi-Kung, and Pak-Mei. I have also taken additional seminars in healing through Chi-Kung under Si Fu Luke Chan.
